Delia Alvarez Apollo

With over three decades of dedication to the sport, Delia Alvarez-Apollo has established herself as a trusted name in developing elite horses and ponies. Her education in the saddle includes training alongside Olympic veterans Nona Garson and Anne Kursinski, and more recently, collaborating with Victoria Colvin LLC to campaign exceptional equine athletes for Apollo Farms Ltd. 

A true family passion, Delia and her daughter, Elliena Apollo, are familiar faces on the national "AA" circuit, where they have guided multiple ponies to National Championship titles and many horses to Regional titles.

Delia’s expertise extends far beyond the show ring. A collegiate rider for Salem-Teikyo University and a published author, her work has appeared in The Plaid Horse, Equestrian Magazine, and Wellington’s Weekly Wire. Blending her background in Equine Science, Business Management, and Accounting, she founded Apollo Farms Ltd. in Palmerton, PA. For 25 years, the farm has been a hub for top-level sales, as well as a home to impactful community programs designed for seniors and at-risk youth.

Today, Delia brings her lifetime of knowledge to her website, The Mare and Gelding. Her mission is rooted in integrity, offering transparent representation and expert marketing to ensure that every horse finds its ideal partner and every client achieves their goals.
